Peter Montoya

Daniel Honey

Courtland Warren

Position: Executive Director
Family: Married with 2 children and 3 bonus children
Location: Orange County, Ca

Raised in the comfort of Southern California, Peter is the oldest of 5 rambunctious boys, raised mostly by a single mom. Like his brothers, Peter is driven, intellectually oriented, and hard working. His first 7-year career began at age 10 as a newspaper boy. He continued to work multiple jobs through high school and college. Though Peter struggled through school with undiagnosed ADHD, he was admitted to and graduated from the University of California Irvine in Political Science. In his first job post-college position as a traveling speaker and salesmen, he chalked up over 1,500 presentations in 5 years and lived in over 22 major cities.

Personality – Ambivert
The Advocate personality type is very rare, making up less than one percent of the population, but they nonetheless leave their mark on the world. Advocates have an inborn sense of idealism and morality, but what sets them apart is that they are not idle dreamers, but people capable of taking concrete steps to realize their goals and make a lasting positive impact. They tend to see helping others as their purpose in life, but while people with this personality type can be found engaging rescue efforts and doing charity work, their real passion is to get to the heart of the issue so that people need not be rescued at all.

Daniel Honey is an explorer of diverse worlds: from Karate Kid level martial arts, to bagpipe bands, actuarial science, and writing over six science fiction and fantasy novels. He recently earned a master’s degree in economics and studied cold meditation techniques in Poland.

Daniel has volunteered his time teaching finance classes to high school kids, helping child prostitutes, promoting suicide prevention, and mentoring with the Big Brothers Big Sisters program.

A pragmatic utopian, Daniel seeks to combine fiction with real world learning to create a more egalitarian, kind society. His next adventures include creating a magnificently happy family with his partner and building communities that will transform the world.

Personality – Mediator
Mediator personalities are true idealists, always looking for the hint of good in even the worst of people and events, searching for ways to make things better. While they may be perceived as calm, reserved, or even shy, Mediators have an inner flame and passion that can truly shine. Comprising just 4% of the population, the risk of feeling misunderstood is unfortunately high for the Mediator personality type – but when they find like-minded people to spend their time with, the harmony they feel will be a fountain of joy and inspiration.

Raised by a village, but primarily his single mom, Courtland has always questioned, “Is this all there is?” Believing education was the key off Impoverished Street, Courtland blazed a trail forward using intelligence, charisma, and his voice. A state champion public speaker, track athlete and valedictorian, Courtland graduated in organizational behavior from Oklahoma State University, eventually consulting major organizations like Coca-Cola, UPS, and GE. A thought leader and positive force in the personal development industry, Courtland has logged over 10,000 hours as a facilitator and trainer in 15 years. And he’s just getting started.

Personality – Ambivert
The Ambivert personality type thrives in a large range of situations. Ambiverts are just as happy alone as they are with a crowd, comfortable being an introvert one moment and an extrovert the next. They often act as mediators and diplomats since they straddle diverse worlds with ease. Ambiverts are often described as controlled, patient and deliberate. They are warm and friendly, empathetic and genuine. Other people love being around ambiverts because they come away with a profound sense of being heard and understood. Ambiverts are often found building others up, rallying collaboration, and calmly moving toward their goals.

Personality – Defender
The Defender personality type The Defender personality type is quite unique, as many of their qualities defy the definition of their individual traits. Though sensitive, Defenders have excellent analytical abilities; though reserved, they have well-developed people skills and robust social relationships; and though they are generally a conservative type, Defenders are often receptive to change and new ideas. As with so many things, people with the Defender personality type are more than the sum of their parts, and it is the way they use these strengths that defines who they are.

Independent, driven, caring, that’s Liberty! In high school, she worked full time, moved into her own apartment and graduated early. At age 23, on her own, she moved to San Diego, where she discovered her drive to lead. While working full time in the biotech industry, Liberty earned a business management degree and quickly climbed the corporate ladder holding positions of Global Market Manager and VP of Business Development.

Liberty is passionate about helping others, whether through teaching fitness classes, volunteering, or serving on the board of directors for youth football and cheer association. She lives her purpose by helping others close the gap of who they’ve settled for and who they’re capable of being.

Personality – Campaigner
The Campaigner is a true free spirit. They are often the life of the party, but unlike types in the Explorer Role group, Campaigners are less interested in the sheer excitement and pleasure of the moment than they are in enjoying the social and emotional connections they make with others. Charming, independent, energetic and compassionate, the 7% of the population that they comprise can certainly be felt in any crowd.

Always Be Giving
We passionately pursue the collective good. We generously contribute realizing that we’ll receive equitable or even compounded benefits from within our community. We ask, “what can we give” before asking, “what is in it for me?” We live from a place of contribution.
Flourishing Without Harm
All humans deserve to live meaningful lives full of purpose, belonging, and growth. Our lives shall not be at the expense of someone else.
Absolute Responsibility
Everyone is empowered to create the life of their choosing. We recognize that we are empowered to overcome our brokenness and obstacles. There are no excuses, only obstacles to overcome.
Humble Self-Introspection
Egoism slows our pursuit of wisdom, deprives us of growth, and harms relationships. We are committed to maintaining humility, engaging in modest introspection, and accepting the constructive input of others.
Intentional Community
We intentionally build relationships to build trust. We passionately weave the social fabric required to address societal and ecological challenges. Empathetic communication is at our core; realizing that everyone fights a battle we’re unaware of.
Radical Belonging
Everyone is affirmed as an equal regardless of anything. We are open to all beliefs, honoring each other’s experiences and unique perspectives. Everyone is intrinsically worthy of love and acceptance. Period.
Ferocious Action Taking
We achieve fulfillment through doing. Everyone is invited to participate. Everyone is invited to play. Our actions are requisite to making a livable world. No one sits on the sidelines.
Truth Relentlessly Pursued
We strive to be people that allow facts to change our minds. We’re more passionate about discovering truth than being right. We recognize our own foibles and work diligently to develop practices to hold accurate positions and achieve effective solutions.
Joyful Celebration
We live in glorious wonderment of nature and humanity, and we will laugh, play, love, and celebrate – unabashedly.
World Embetterment
We leave everywhere, everything, and everyone better than we found it. We accept our stewardship over the earth as a personal and communal responsibly and seek solutions that utilize the earth’s natural income without degrading the natural capital that supplies it.
